OHCS Champions Clean-up Exercise

The Office of the Head of Civil Service led a clean-up exercise within the Ministries enclave, as part of its activities to mark the 2023 Civil Service Week Celebration and Awards Ceremony on the theme; “Enhanced Service Delivery and Economic Transformation In Ghana: The Civil Service In Focus”.

The Head of Civil Service, Nana Agyekum-Dwamena, stressed that the clean-up exercise is aimed at increasing staff awareness of the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy working environment.

He added that the activity also entrenches the continuous need for a periodic clean-up exercise within the Civil Service institutions.

The Chief Directors, Directors, Heads of Departments and Units fully participated in the exercise within their respective jurisdictions.

An inspection team led by the Head of Service, moved from one Ministry to another to ensure compliance during the exercise.

The programme lined-up to mark the 2023 event includes: Thanksgiving Service for both Christian and Muslim Staff (Friday, May 26, 2023); Public Lecture on the year’s theme (Monday, May 29, 2023).

Also, from Monday, May 29 to Thursday, June 1, 2023, there would be series of activities which include: Policy Fair/Exhibition; Tourism Food Bazaar and inter-Ministerial Men’s Cooking Competition; and Health Screening exercises.
