OHCS Champions Clean-up Exercise
The
Office of the Head of Civil Service led a clean-up exercise within the
Ministries enclave, as part of its activities to mark the 2023 Civil Service
Week Celebration and Awards Ceremony on the theme; “Enhanced Service Delivery
and Economic Transformation In Ghana: The Civil Service In Focus”.
The Head of Civil Service,
Nana Agyekum-Dwamena, stressed that the clean-up exercise is aimed at
increasing staff awareness of the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy
working environment.
He added that the activity
also entrenches the continuous need for a periodic clean-up exercise within the
Civil Service institutions.
The Chief Directors,
Directors, Heads of Departments and Units fully participated in the exercise
within their respective jurisdictions.
An inspection team led by the
Head of Service, moved from one Ministry to another to ensure compliance during
the exercise.
The programme lined-up to mark
the 2023 event includes: Thanksgiving Service for both Christian and Muslim
Staff (Friday, May 26, 2023); Public Lecture on the year’s theme (Monday, May
29, 2023).
Also, from Monday, May 29 to
Thursday, June 1, 2023, there would be series of activities which include:
Policy Fair/Exhibition; Tourism Food Bazaar and inter-Ministerial Men’s Cooking
Competition; and Health Screening exercises.
The week-long event would also
see the Final matches of the inter-Ministerial Football Tournament at the Accra
Sports Stadium and the year’s event would be climaxed with the 2022 Civil
Service Awards Ceremony on Friday, June 2, 2023 at the Accra International
Conference Centre (AICC).
