Mr. W.K. Kemevor Adjudged Ultimate Award Winner - CLOGSAG
The
Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG) has conferred on
Mr. Woeli Kwaku Kemevor, the Ultimate Award for the 4th Edition of Nathan Anang
Quao Excellence Awards for the year 2021.
A citation in recognition of his sterling performance as a
Public Sector Management Expert over the last four decades, noted that he is “a
household name in the Civil Service for the past two decades. Your uniqueness
as a person lies in your affable nature. You receive and relate to all levels
of staff from Senior to Junior Officers with great compassion. Your emotional
intelligence was par excellence. You always have a futuristic view of things
and always proves your leadership prowess by getting all to appreciate and
accept your wise counsel”. The Head of Civil Service, Nana Agyakum Dwamena made
the presentation.
CLOGSAG, in furtherance of its Political Neutrality Project
and in appreciation of the dedication, leadership, loyalty and integrity to the
course of the Civil and Local Government Service, honored eleven (11) Officers
within the Civil and Local Government Service as part of its 4th Annual Nathan
Anang Quao Excellence Awards, 2021 dubbed “Neutrality in Local Governance:
non-partisan election of MMDCEs”.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Secretary, CLOGSAG on
behalf of the National Executive Council and the National Executive Committee
of CLOGSAG ceased the opportunity to congratulate the 2021 Awardees while
admonishing all on whom the searchlight has not shown on yet that opportunity
awaits them in the subsequent years.
Special Award was conferred on Mr. David Yaro, a Rtd. Chief
Director, Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs in recognition of his
leadership and dedicated service to Ghana over the past four decades.
Mr. Alabira Osuman, Assistant Environmental Health Analyst
- North-East Regional Coordinating Council (Nalerigu) and Ms. Janet Sambo, Human
Resource Manager - Oti Regional Coordinating Council (Dambai) both of Local
Government Service were conferred Selflessness award.
Receiving award for Loyalty were Mr. Christian Wilson
Ayiku, Human Resource Director – Office of the President and Mrs. Ruth Ferkah
Kyere, Deputy Director – Ministry of Communication both of Civil Service as
well as Mr. Richard Kuubetersuur, Human Resource Manager – Northern Regional
Coordinating Council of Local Government Service.
Ms. Shiela Akowuah Kwarteng, Assistant Procurement Officer
– Office of the Head of Local Government Service and Mr. Richard Obodai Torto,
Yard Foreman – Ministry of Finance received award for Integrity.
The award for Leadership was presented to Mr. Samuel Odoi
Tutuani, Assistant Director I, Western Regional Coordinating Council (Sekondi)
of Local Government Service and Mr. Emmanuel Tagoe, Accountant – Controller and
Accountant General’s Department.
Each Award Winner of the Nathan Anang Quao Excellence
Awards, 2021 was presented with a citation accompanied by a plague, medal and
an undisclosed cash prize.
The two-day event slated from Thursday, 30th September to
Friday, 1st October, 2021 commenced with a Public Lecture on the year’s theme
delivered by Professor Joseph Atsu Ayee, Professor of the Political Science Department
– University of Ghana, Legon.
The event summoned key Stakeholders within the Civil and
Local Government Service, Academicians, Politicians, among others.
