2022 EXHIBITION, POLICY AND TOURISM FAIR DEMYSTIFY THE PUBLIC – NANA AGYEKUM-DWAMENA

The 2022 Civil Service Week and Awards Ceremony has seen a host of Sector Ministries, Departments and Agencies participating in the year’s exhibition, policy and tourism fair held at the forecourt of CLOGSAG National Secretariat and the main enclave of the Ministries.

During an official opening of the 2022 exhibition, policy and tourism fair at the CLOGSAG National Secretariat, the Head of Service, Nana Agyekum-Dwamena, established that the Fair is aimed at demystifying the projects, programs, policies and activities of the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) which enhances public engagement by Sector Ministries and the Private Sector.

 According to him, it also presents an avenue for the public to have on spot services from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Health Screening, Registrar General’s Department, Births and Deaths Registry, Passport Office, Insurance Service Providers, Telecommunication Network Providers, etc.

A delegation led by the Head of Service, randomly engaged some Officers in their respective stands to encourage patrons participation.

The Fair which runs concurrently each day from Monday, July 25, will end on Thursday, July 28, 2022.

The final inter-ministerial football tournament is set to come off on Thursday, July 28, at the Accra Sports Stadium between two Teams; the Office of the Attorney-General and the Ministry of Justice against the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The week-long event as part of the 4th Edition of the Civil Service Week Celebration will be climaxed with an Awards night at the Alisa Hotels on July 29, 2022, with H. E. the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia being the Special Guest of Honour.

This year’s Awards ceremony seeks to honour about 100 Officers selected on merit from the various Ministries and Departments, for their excellence in the 2021 performance year. This is in line with the provision in Section 88 of the Civil Service Act, 1993, Act 327.

Other dignitaries who have contributed to the growth and development of the Civil Service over the years will also be recognized.

All Civil Service Staff are encouraged to participate in the Awards Ceremony on the virtual space.
