Civil Service poised to ensure delighted clientele in a developed Ghana – Head of Service

The Head of Ghana Civil Service, Nana Agyekum-Dwamena, has professed the Civil Service commitment to go beyond satisfying its clientele to making them delighted through enhanced service delivery.

He said the move was evident by the adoption of modern approaches that prioritise customer satisfaction, responsiveness, efficiency, speed and effectiveness by the Civil Service.

Nana Agyekum-Dwamena was speaking at a Press Launch to mark the 2023 Civil Service Week Celebration and 2022 Awards Ceremony in Accra.

According to him, the theme for the year’s celebration; “Enhanced Service Delivery and Economic Transformation in Ghana: The Civil Service in Focus”, was carefully chosen to project the critical role the Civil Service plays in ensuring the realization of government policies to enhance service delivery and economic transformation.

He added that, the operationalization of the Electronic Staff Performance Appraisal (E-SPA) by the Civil Service has improved accountability, among others, for the achievement of Government goals.

Other achievements of the Civil Service cited were: Service-wide Virtual Promotions; Capacity Development of Staff; Legislative and Administrative Reforms as well as Support for key Government Policies and initiatives which include the decentralization agenda and policy development and implementation.

These, he said, had improved and reinforced service delivery for economic transformation over the last few years.

Nana Agyekum-Dwamena called on all Civil Service Staff to continue working together with colleagues in other public service organisations and the private sector to advance the national development agenda.

The annual Civil Service Week Celebration and Awards Ceremony is one of the activities implemented by the Office of the Head of Civil Service (OHCS) with support from the Public Sector Reform for Results Projects (PSRRP).
