Head of Civil Service calls on Civil Servants to have a sense of mission

The Head of Civil Service, Nana Agyekum-Dwamena, has called on Civil Servants to have a sense of mission while in active service.

This he said, would contribute to the achievement of set policies, projects and programmes of the Ghana Civil Service. According to him, this would largely improve service delivery and economic transformation.

Nana Agyekum-Dwamena was speaking at a Thanksgiving Service to mark the 2023 Civil Service Week Celebration and Awards Ceremony dubbed “Enhanced Service Delivery and Economic Transformation in Ghana: The Civil Service in Focus” held in Accra.

He entreated members of staff to emulate hard work at their various working environment while in the spirit of thanksgiving.

The Resident Pastor, CLOGSAG, Pastor Bayo, in a brief sermon at the event, told Civil Servants to consciously and constantly show gratitude to God for His care and love to humanity.

He entreated members to upgrade from occasional thanksgiving and be deliberate in offering thanksgiving to God and make it a lifestyle.

According to him, Thanksgiving is registering ones appreciation to God, thanksgiving is also a Kingdom mystery that is multi-purpose. Thank God for yesterday, today and tomorrow, he said.

The Thanksgiving Service for both Christian and Muslim staff of the Civil Service was to give thanks to God for a successful year and to seek guidance for the years ahead.
